SINGAPORE

Singapore, located on the Pulau Ujong, or Singapore Island as it is known, is a nation of 63 islands. Established in 1820 it has seen enormous progress resulting from the cohesive synergies between modern market structures and traditional values. It is a state and a city of wonders where modern architecture does not have limits and access to capital is abundant.

As a very young state, founded in 1965, it had an opportunity to design for the future from a completely different standpoint than its global counterparts which operate with historical foundations around which their future-proofing adjustments have to be made. Because of this flexibility, Singapore actively makes vast investments towards improvements in its environmental standards. Singapore is the greenest city in Asia and ranks among the greenest cities in the world. It offers a taste of what the execution of future environmental considerations could manifest as, through architecture, urban planning, and development.
